Mayweather vs Pacquiao Fight Live Blow by Blow Updates
Round 1
Both men pawing early; looks like the left-hand bet wins. Mayweather misses with a right to the body. One minute in. Counter right by Floyd. No big rush from Manny yet, just jabbing from both sides. Mayweather comes out aggressive. Landed some rights on Pacquiao, even talks a little to Pacquiao during the clinch. Good round for Floyd.
Round 2
Pacquiao coming forward more in the second round but Mayweather doing a good job not getting caught. Better round for Pacquiao but it’s close.
Round 3
Floyd landing some hard shots on Manny, even getting warned for getting a little low. Pacquiao gets in a good flurry to the body but Mayweather gets a late lick in.
Round 4
Pacquiao hurts Mayweather with a big hard shot. He tees off on Floyd on the ropes. Good round for Manny.
Round 5
Pacquiao continues to be aggressive. Mayweather able to stun Manny for a bit with a big right. The two fighters laugh and touch gloves after.
Round 6
Floyd using his reach on the jab well. Pacquiao gets a good counter in and gets Mayweather on the ropes but Floyd shakes his head, saying he wasn’t hurt.
Round 7
Manny still on the attack but Floyd using his footwork to play defense. Pacquiao looked like he landed a one-two but replays show some good defending from Mayweather on that as well.
Round 8
Pacquiao gets a good straight left in. Mayweather later gets a good counter in, a couple of lead left hooks as well. Both guys fight til the round’s bell.
Round 9
Manny advancing, still can't keep Floyd on the ropes. Combination misses. Stiff jab from Floyd. 1-2 by Manny backs his man off. Manny tries to open up on the ropes and gets held. One minute in. Mayweather backed to the corner, circles off. Stiff jab by Manny. Lead left by Manny. Manny avoiding the jab early, eats a counter right. Manny gets popped by a jab as he tries to advance on the ropes. One minute to go. Counter right by Floyd. Straight right by Floyd. Manny to the body, then a right hook upstairs. Floyd on the defensive early, gets popped with a left downstairs. Counter right by Floyd. One minute in. Good flurry from Manny in the corner. Left hand as Floyd circles off. Mayweather straight right. 1-2 by Manny, then some glancing blows on the ropes. Manny making an effort to keep Floyd from circling off the ropes. Manny to the body. One minute to go. 1-1-2 by Floyd to start the round. Left hook lands for him. Manny rushes, clinched. Body shot from Pacquiao. Floyd with a pair of good left hands. Counter right by Floyd. Body shot lands for Manny on the ropes. Floyd pops him with the counter right. One minute in. Lead left by Manny, then a left hand on the ropes. Right hook lands for him. In the UK the fight will be available to watch on PPV on Sky Sports for a price of GBP 19.95 via a Sky TV remote, or online or by the phone (although boxing fans will want to note that if you book from midnight Friday to 7 a.m. Sunday the price for phone bookings will be GBP 5 more expensive). In addition, TalkTalk customers in the UK can watch the fight for GBP 14.95 on TalkTalk TV on Channel 528, or Sky Sports Box Office.
In the United States meanwhile, promoters, organizers, and cable PPV networks have been battling tooth and nail to make sure the lucrative boxing match is not streamed online for free. Fans will have to pay out a massive $89-$100 to watch the fight on HBO or Showtime PPV.
